The company

Sorain Cecchini Tecno has been advancing the development and industrialization of technologies for the Sorain Cecchini group since 1993, active for more than 65 years in the environmental services sector, waste management, and treatment. Since its inception, SCT has continued to grow, surpassing its objectives in terms of company size and revenue growth: today, there are more than 70 plants spread across 5 continents, with a total capacity of over 70,000,000 tonnes treated. This exponential growth has highlighted the need for a tool capable of monitoring the status of various plants located nationally and internationally, in order to transform the multiple "raw" data generated into strategic information, serving the efficiency of waste treatment processes.

SCT finds the solution by equipping its plants with its own Industrial IoT solution: the automatic acquisition of key parameters through the cloud, such as the temperatures of various reactor zones, in addition to flow rates and flows of the irrigation plant, allows for the analysis and assessment of operational status aimed at optimizing plant performance.

A responsive web app allows for intuitive visualization of process data placed on a 2D or 3D heatmap, depicting the reactor. Through the “Time Machine” feature, technicians can study the heating patterns of different areas and identify points for improvement. Moreover, end customers can monitor the efficiency and sustainability of SCT plants simply by accessing a SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) solution.
