Riding the wave of digital transformation, Goglio relies on 40Factory for the digitalization of the packaging lines produced in the Zeccone plant (Pavia, Italy): thus was born “MIND,” the IoT platform, based on Machine Analytics Tool technology, capable of generating value from production data and bridging the distance between Goglio and its end customers, including some of the world’s leading coffee manufacturers.
The solution, with a modular and hybrid Edge & Cloud (Microsoft Azure) architecture, was configured adopting a software deployment logic based on microservices: the division of individual components into small containers communicating with each other, guarantees not only the portability and flexibility of the system but also speed in problem resolution, limiting potential failures to individual components, avoiding a catastrophic chain reaction.
From a functional perspective, the web app offers advantages to both parties: on one side, Goglio, leveraging MAT technology and accessing operational data from the entire fleet of connected machines worldwide, can offer new value-added services such as remote FAT and performance level guaranteed contracts; on the other, end customers can have an advanced tool for monitoring entire packaging departments based on Goglio technology and third-party machines.
