Collaboration with 40Factory

The collaboration between FIMI and 40Factory began at the start of 2023. After a careful vendor selection process, FIMI chose MAT from 40Factory as the platform for developing its digitalization strategy and advanced service sales. From the outset, the approach was to combine MAT’s technological offering with the strategic consulting and training provided by 40Rocket. This combined approach aims to engage all departments and business functions in the servitization process.

Implementation of the Industrial IoT Solution

FIMI chose MAT to implement complete traceability of processed coils, for monitoring production data and telemetry, as well as in-depth analysis of machine downtime and alarms. The Maintenance module is used for managing numerous components, with hundreds of customized counters that calculate the useful life by correlating total cuts with wear coefficients based on the material processed.

Additionally, the Health Monitoring module has been implemented to monitor the mechanical health of critical components, such as the winder. In this case, the input data considers the sheet tension, winding speed, and motor status. What problems can be prevented? Issues such as loss of tension, which causes incorrect coil winding, speeds that are too high or too low, or excessively high consumption.

Thanks to the collaboration with 40Factory and the use of MAT, FIMI further optimizes the management of its plants, enabling it to offer advanced predictive maintenance services to end customers, significantly improving the operational efficiency of the plants.
