Collaboration with 40Factory

The collaboration with 40Factory began in October 2021, with the configuration of the basic MAT modules to thoroughly monitor the extrusion process. Recognizing the importance of technical expertise, Macchi subsequently invested in the 40Rocket consulting program, which includes on-site training days that combine theory and practice for commercial, technical, and after-sales support teams.

Implementation of the Industrial IoT Solution

Macchi opted for the “Full Edge” MAT configuration to keep temperature profiles used by end customers confidential, as these data are crucial for the quality of the produced plastic and highly strategic for machine users. A typical example of the solution’s use is during the testing phase: it allows operators to monitor data in real-time and precisely calibrate the machines before delivery to customers.
To monitor material consumption and performance in the extruders, the “Brand Consumption” module was used, a customization of the MAT Consumption Analytics module that analyzes aggregated consumption by raw material supplier.
